Snap Shots of Our Honeymoon

After our wonderful wedding day ( pictures/ blog post to come) we headed to the east coast.

There we experienced sand, the ocean, sickness, wicked accents rain, tiny cobblestone roads and marriage.

Fun in the Sun

Right before Purdue arrived Paul put up a clothes line and I was able to use it for the first time a week ago (I know, I'm already getting behind in the blog world). I can't express enough how much I love using a clothing line. It just makes me feel good, I don't know why but I am really enjoying it.

Two weeks ago I was able to go on a much need nature walk and brought along my camera. I love when God gives you just what you need, like a perfectly placed flower or humming bird that flies by your head. Here are a couple pictures from my walk...

Invitations & other fun things

I know that I have been neglectful of the blog world but do not despair I am back. We are quite busy at camp with Purdue here. It is making me very glad that I have finished a lot of the wedding plans. But to keep everyone up to date, here are more weddingish things.
Here is the Save the Date that got emailed out to all our guests. Which worked out perfectly because we saved on postage & Johanna didn't break her hand making them for us.

These are our invitations that Johanna designed. She is such a great artist! We are so lucky that she has taken the time to design beautiful pieces for us.

And a thanks to Courtney for changing my attitude on cutting the invitations by lending me her professional grade paper slicer!

Tonight we will be working on the information paper that will be put in with the invitations and reply cards. Then next step printing them, thanks to my dad, Bob Moberly. After that the only thing left is to have a mailing party and get those invitations out in the mail.

Flowers

100 paper flowers and counting...
A couple of weeks ago the girls came over and we had a HUGE/SUCCESSFUL flower making party. Thank you to Lisa, Linnea, Teri, Courtney & Johanna for tracing, rolling and gluing.

You may ask, why do you need so many paper flowers?
We will be using them for part of are decoration for our center pieces. When I first started talking about flowers for the wedding someone quoted a price that was a big chunk of our budget,
so I realized I needed to get creative.
So of course I turned to pintrest and found my inspiration, resulting in these cute paper flowers.

I am wondering if I make these flowers out of ribbon and then solve my bouquet troubles. Thoughts?

These flowers have nothing to do with my wedding day. But this past weekend my fiancĂ©e (hehe) brought me flowers and they are still alive. This says two things 1. Paul is super good at taking hints from me 2. I CAN keep plants alive :)

No Sun, No Productivity

I have the hardest time being product when the sun is not out. I think my body feels like, hey if the sun doesn't have to work today, why do i? oh silly body.

These beginning posts will catch everyone up to speed on how the wedding planning is going. Which if you know me, you know that I have 90% of the wedding already planned. So in my opinion, it's going great!
Please note the really great hair piece the lady told me would be perfect for me,
right after I told her I wanted something simple.

So I went to a bridal shop just to see what kind of dresses there were out there. The lady and I didn't seem to meet eye to eye on what style I wanted. I kept saying simple but the dress she kept bringing me got bigger and more detailed. I am so glad that I don't need to go from store to store finding a dress because Lynn Fish will be making my wedding dress, which I couldn't be more excited about! I got to come up with my own design, a expert seamstress will be making a dress just for me, and we are saving so much money due to Lynn's generosity. Thanks so much Lynn!!

Laurel LOVING trying on dresses with Grandma Nyberg
Also, a big thanks to Betty (and Laurel of course) for coming with me to look at wedding dresses. We made sure to give Laurel some time to figure out what she would wear for the big day. She kept telling me that every dress would be prefect for her and is quite worried about not finding a dress for herself.

Do not fear Laurel, your perfect dress is out there.

If at first you don't succeed...

 ... try, try, try again.

Well, here goes my second third attempt at blogging. I thought it might be nice to have a blog. It has the potential to be a place to say my ramblings (eventual even Paul's ramblings),
cool nature photos

Cutsie couple photos

and of course, adorable photos of Townes!

Oh, and probably some information about a little event that will be taking place on September 1st.
So stayed tuned for good fun to come.
